removing TOC comments[edit source]
Sorry, I did not realize you were staff. Anno1404 20:16, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I think that you are overreacting. First of all, he's offering his hosting FOR FREE. Second, he's posting a useful documentation of how wikia wants to "buy" other wikis to host them. The talk page message is completely on topic. Your removal of that talk page message no longer fits with the express yourself and be heard! motto of ShoutWiki. And it's worse than Wikia, which allowed us to have the entire forum about the Anti Wikia Alliance in the community forum during more than one month, with lots of comments and links to shoutwiki. You are not being fair here and I would like to see an explanation of this. Maybe ShoutWiki isn't a good host for AWA? --Ciencia Al Poder 20:28, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
- Please see User talk:J. James Beaudoin for an explanation of why I removed it. Note that we are not against you listing alternatives for Wikia and pointing out the flaws of various hosting companies, it is just that the way in which he worded it was borderline advertising, and I decided with input from some of the other staff that it fell more towards the advertising side of the border than the informative side, hence the removal. Feel free to re-add what he wrote in an objective tone wherever you list these alternatives. --Skizzerz 20:33, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
- Ciencia Al Poder, lets not jump to conclusions. Shoutwiki has been really good to us, and to many wikis fleeing wikia. Any shared hosting site will have its boundries. Skizzerz apologized, and I added the battlestar site to the main page.
- I never thought of the terms of service until today, we are lucky to have a site which allows us to compare other potentially rival sites.
- If you want my take on the whole thing, see User talk:J. James Beaudoin.

Monaco ETA?[edit source]
RE:
http://blog.shoutwiki.com/2010/11/monaco-coming-soon-to-a-shoutwiki-near-you/
Do we have an ETA for Monaco being available? The sooner shoutwiki has Monaco, the more wikias will leave wikia. Because the longer editors have to deal with the wikia skin, the more they will get used to it.
I have already posted on wikia that shoutwiki plans to get Monaco. I was hoping to contact many of the wikias who were debating leaving and following up about whether they plan to leave.
Hell, if monaco is available here, myself and another wikia may transfer immediately here too.
Also, I tried to post twice on that blog, and I got no feedback about the status of my message, and the message never showed up. I attempted to post a second time, and i got a message I was double posting.
